Beyond its core leadership team, RAAD draws on a wider network of affiliated scholars, policy specialists and practitioners across Africa, Europe and globally — supporting collaborative research, peer review and specialist analysis that bridges grounded knowledge from the Horn of Africa with broader comparative debates.
Conflict reflects more than military competition. Contested authority, political exclusion, unresolved centre–periphery relations and competition over power and resources often sustain violence long after its immediate causes have changed.
