Abstract

EU engagement in Africa has centred on a triple nexus of humanitarian assistance, development aid and peace. This brief examines the EU's peacebuilding strategy in the Horn of Africa, its support to AMISOM and ATMIS, and the effectiveness of its engagement in Somalia.
